Helps some when you have several adds on you. Not only do the Soul Rippers get feared away by Inner Sanctuary, it is a second heal to the monk and nearby melee players standing on it. Yet another heal and immune for 3 sec? Go for it, dude. As stated earlier, you should stack up Armor bonus and Dexterity in your gear. This is why. Use this passive to tank. One with Everything : Your resistance to all elements is equal to your highest elemental resistance.
Got your health down a bit? Next time you get damage, hit Serenity immune for 3 sec, and heals you instantly for Life. Maybe Blinding Flash cooldown is over. Hit it again. Next time you get damaged, hit Button Breath of Heaven 15 sec. Next time you get damage, hit Inner Sanctuary to get a renew heal Life per sec 7. Watch cooldowns of all other abilities that can heal you up. Kite a bit where needed until cooldowns are over for the next heal. It would be good if all players stack behind you when the dogs spawn.
Your Crippling Wave does damage to them, your Inner Sanctuary heals players over time and your Breath of Heaven also heals nearby players. Better for your coop team than running all around the place trying to flee from the dog minions. I tried the same Monk build of Rakanoth against Izual. He will one-shot you. When stacked with your mantra your resistances will get to absurd amount 2k to all resistances is doable.
Since both of you will have low dps, ask him to go earthquake and beserker too if has decent gear. With this combo you can pull whole zones and he can earthquake them down. If you have any questions or would like to add to this guide please feel free to post.
Guide Additions Part 4-Farming Since many of the posts claim that money seems to be an issue, I have decided to add a monk farming section to help. I will show you that it is possible to make 4 mil a day minimum.
The first run is for people that are struggling getting into Act 2. There should be packs roaming outside the waypoint, if not locate the two caves. There is one pack per cave. Get 2 Stacks. You should get at least one stack in here while finding the exit. Free the prisoners and kill the warden. Note: Doing this run will help you find some upgrades needed for Act 2.
However, what you will find is a lot of it is garbage. You will however find resist to all elements gear which is your money maker. Many resist to all gear in Act 1 will sell for k minimum. The next run what I currently do to farm my gold. I average about 4 mil a day doing this run. Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes. Improve this answer. Domocus Domocus 2, 3 3 gold badges 21 21 silver badges 25 25 bronze badges. Do note that Armor is applied to all damage, so it helps against these elites as well elemental resist is considered as well, and "physical" is an element.
This answer is slightly incorrect. If you are in A3 and only have resist all, you will get demolished no matter what you do. I personally have around all resist, 55k life and 11k armor, and I still have a hard time against certain monster combinations although I can clear most of A3 and A4 completely without problems.
Also, the elementary resistances are in no way the primary things you're going for with stacking AR. Instead, physical resistance is what is going to make you survive the most, since it stacks on top of armor. Erich Erich 21 1 1 bronze badge.
Please post your gear for this. None is needed. Note that this answer is about monks - I don't have a lvl 60 barb. Why do you say dodge is also damage? And running with Deadly Reach you run like you were ranged? Yes, if the elites aren't too fast, I use Deadly Reach like a ranged attack. Dodge is based on Dexterity, and Dexterity is a huge component of damage.
That's all I mean. Quote from Zanzor Question, Great guide by the way, thanks for it! Cyclone if you have high crit, Blade Storm if you don't. I've now updated this guide to 1. Thanks for the reply! Just build her for CC. Also followers can be quite tanky since their vitality is multiplied by 2. This guide is now updated for 1. I wish I could link runes. Quote from Makesh. Heh, I guess I should have waited for the guide update, lol. While the fists of thunder with thunderclap are cool coz they teleport you to the enemy you need to consider that most of the times that enemy will have arcane sentry, molten ground, fire chains near him and thats going to kill you.
Imo thunderclap becomes good when you got enough defense to pretty much trivialize any dmg you'll take from elites. This is a great list, but honestly I can't survive Act 2 and beyond without lashing tail kick to keep mobs off me and getting a burst of heal using transendance.
