Taking the wrap: Karen McCluskey took the stand as a witness but then shockingly confessed to the murder.
Rocked: The false confession by Karen shocked everyone but all charges were dropped in the case as a result. Karen left her deathbed to attend the court claiming she wanted to be a witness, but she surprised everyone when she confessed to the murder once she was on the stand. Lives are connected, people who care about each other.
Rest in peace: Karen died a few days later with love of her life Roy by her side. Life is short: Roy made Tom realise he wanted to get back together with Lynette. Karen then explained how Gaby was abused by her stepfather before rocking the courtroom with her false confession, which saw Bree's charges dropped and none filed against Karen due to her declining health. It came after the outcome for Bree looked bleak when Ben was put into jail overnight because he refused to answer questions about a suspicious phone conversation he had with Bree.
Still in love: Tom and Lynette admitted their feelings for each other in an emotional moment. Cute couple: Bree and her lawyer Trip got together after a rough patch during the trial. Renee told the court she had witnessed Bree muddy and covered in leaves in the middle of the night while carrying a shovel on the night of the murder, which left Bree with little hope of being found not guilty by the jurors, until Karen saved the day. A few days later Karen died peacefully with Roy by her side.

End of an era: The foursome enjoyed one last poker game together before each moving onto new horizons.
And according to a flash-forward at the end of the episode, the couple lived happily ever after, eventually having six grandchildren. Bree had felt betrayed by Trip after he broke his promise about putting Gaby on the stand but the pair got together and in the end married and moved to Kentucky where Bree became involved in local politics. Before Ben and Renee's nuptials, Susan became a grandmother when her daughter Julie's water broke on the way to the ceremony and Julie gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
Flash forward: The housewives were seen in the future and Lynette and Tom moved to New York where they eventually had six grandchildren. Huge success: Gaby went on to have her own show on the home shopping network and she and Carlos moved to a mansion in California.
Woman on a mission: Bree married Trip and the pair moved to Kentucky where Bree became involved in local politics. Meanwhile Gaby got a big promotion at her styling job and while the roles were reversed between her and Carlos, they showed they were stronger than ever. It works and he asks her out. It brings up painful memories from her childhood when her family had to accept it themselves.
